Job Creation Programme
With the aim of strengthening the creation of personal income and to foster the empowerment of vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities and at-risk women, ME IMPORTAS is developing a Job Creation Programme in El Estor, which has the following goals:
- To improve their professional skills through professional training.
- To create self-employment and cooperative work opportunities.
- To foster their access to the regular labour market.
This programme is run along with the Guatemalan non-profit organization AMIGUITOS (our local counterpart, a reference organization working with vulnerable groups in the area) and offers training and professional orientation through the following resources:
- Tailoring School for vulnerable women.
- Cooking School for vulnerable women.
- Bakery School for people with disabilities.
- IT School.
